Introduction to University of the Arts Singapore
The University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) is Singapore’s first government-funded art university, jointly established by the Nanyang Academy of the Arts (NAFA) and LASALLE, and will officially enroll students in 2024. UAS integrates the strengths of the two universities to provide undergraduate and graduate programs in fine arts, design, media arts, performing arts, etc., emphasizing interdisciplinary practice and industrial cooperation, and cultivating artistic talents with global vision and innovative thinking. The government supports the establishment of UAS with the aim of promoting the creative economy and enhancing Singapore’s influence in arts education in Southeast Asia and globally.
