Established in 2009, SUTD is Singapore’s fourth public independent university, aiming to promote the integration of technology and design. SUTD is an innovative university that integrates technology and design to develop future leaders with interdisciplinary capabilities. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, SUTD is ranked 153rd in Asia. Its “Design and Artificial Intelligence” (DAI) undergraduate program combines AI technology and design thinking, emphasizes human-machine collaboration, and drives innovation in media, user experience, product development, and other fields. Through project-based learning, students master the deployment and ethical considerations of AI in practical applications, and cultivate cross-field innovation capabilities. SUTD advocates the concept of “AI as a partner” and builds the world’s first “Design AI University”, leading the new direction of education that integrates artificial intelligence and design.
